My birth mother was Tracy Beth Tankersley. She gave birth to me at the Edna Gladney Center in Fort Worth, Texas on August 5, 1983 around 10:00 a.m. I located her in 2009 but have been unable to locate my birth father. There was some confusion as to whom my birth father could be but I found a record online that she submitted with the name "Baby Thompson" so I am looking for my birth father presumably with the last name of Thompson. I was 9 days old whenever the adoption took place. She was 17 whenever she had me and my father was 18 or 19. Since the Edna Gladney Center is for single mothers, I do not know if he is listed on the birth certificate or if he even knows about me. John Tankersley was my grandfather (Tracy’s father). Any help in locating my birth father would be great.
