I am trying to find anyone in my biological family. I was adopted in 1983 from Hope Cottage in Dallas, Texas. I was 6 weeks old at the time of my adoption. I think my name at the time of my adoption was Shonda or Shanda. I do not know if that was the name my birth mother gave me or the foster family I was briefly with. I believe I have a sister that was 2 years older than me at the time of my adoption, so she would be about 37-38 years old. My adoption was a closed adoption so I do not know anything about my birth family. I have tried to go through Hope Cottage to locate my birth family, paid them a lot of money to open my file and then was told my search came up as unsuccessful. I would love to meet my birth family so if anyone knows anyone out there please contact me.
