I am trying to help my nephew find his birth parents. He was born in San Antonio, TX on Nov. 5th, 1960. I cannot recall the name of the adoption agency, but likely would recognize it, if I were to hear it. I do not know the hospital, but there were not that many back then. There was the Nix in downtown San Antonio, the Methodist in the Medical Center, and the downtown Baptist. Also a Lutheran downtown. Perhaps a few more, but these for sure. My nephew weighed 5 lbs. and ? ounces. He was tiny. I knew his adoptive parents well, and can tell you where they lived and worked. I was told by his adoptive mother that his birth father was a professor/teacher of music at a local university. I believe it was Our Lady of the Lake Univ. (If not that one, then another Catholic Univ). His birth mother is said to have been married, and that is why she gave the baby up for adoption. They may have worked together at the university or, she may have been his student. I was 21 at the time my nephew was born, and I am 80 now. I think his mother, at least, could be around my age or even younger, but his father was already a professor, so I think he was likely older, and would probably be up into his 80s.
