I’ve believed I was my mom’s firstborn and only daughter for years, but in 2018 discovered I have an older half-sister somewhere out there. I don’t have a lot of information, but I know her birth date and that she was adopted in either Texas or Oklahoma (I’m not sure which). Her birth mother (my mother)’s name is Julie Ann Jones (now Julie Ann Gilliam), and her grandparents are Cato Jones (died in 2011) and Annette Jones (alive and well in Paris, Texas.) Any help connecting us would be greatly appreciated! I’ve always wanted a sister and knowing I have one out there who I’ve never met and have no way of knowing or contacting myself is killing me. My mother has not expressed much interest in searching for her, mostly due to the trauma of being forced by her parents to give her away, but she is not at all opposed to meeting her someday. I hope something will come of this one day!
