People always ask if I remember what I was doing when I learned president kennedy was assasinated. I was coming out of heavy sedation (which is how they did it in the 60’s so the mother wouldn’t remember giving birth) and the nurses were talking about the president being assasinated! I am reminded each year when it gets to this time of year as they talk about the assasination of our president. I was never allowed to hold him or even see him. That’s the way adoptions were done in the sixties. I was at the Methodist Mission Home for unwed mother’s in San Antonio Texas.
