I was adopted thru Volunteers of America hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Thru a court appointed arbitrator in 2000 I found out my birth mom was still alive but did not want to make contact or exchange health info. She was 30 and divorced when she had me. She was from the San Diego area. Once pregnant with me she came to Texas and stayed with a relative / friend, bore me, and returned to San Diego with my 5 year old brother. I know nothing of the brother. VOA hospital no longer exists. All records were sent to Austin, TX and in 2000 they would not open them for me.
