My daughter was born in Sharps town Hospital in SW Houston. She was adopted through Catholic Charities in Houston. From what I was told the adoptive family already had an adoptive soon who was, I believe, was 2-3 at the time of my daughter’s adoption. The adoptive parents, I was told, were both professionals, but mom had left outside work to raise the children. Although she was adopted in Texas, I was told that the family was actually in another state at the time somewhere up north.
