The adoption of my son was through The Gladney Adoption Center in Fort Worth‚ TX I was able to choose his parents from multiple profiles and pictures. The adoptive parents said they live outside a large City in New York/New Jersey. The adoptive mother's first name is Nora. She teaches piano lessens and worked in a cafeteria and of Catholic Faith The adoptive father's name is Paul and he was/is a computer engineer. I named my son at birth‚ Broderick Shane Lesley. The adoptive family changed his first name to Daniel. I waited about a week after his birth to contact the agency and adoptive parents. I asked for him back and did not want to lose him once I held him. The grief and loss was unimaginable. Within 2 days after they picked him up from my home in Wichita Falls‚ TX. I requested assistance from the Catholic Priest that worked at The General Hospital of Wichita Falls‚ TX. He and my physician knew I did not want to do it. They seen and heard me cry and hold and kiss my baby. Instead of allowing me to have my child back‚ I was threatened financially‚ but the help they provided was very little. Assistance with housing for 4-5 months of $260 per month‚ a one time allowance to purchase maternity clothes. I had medicaid for insurance‚ which left little cost. I was 19 and I never stop thinking of him often everyday. How is he? Did he get the life I wanted him to have since I was young‚ poor and my child was kept from me. I just want to see his face‚ hug him‚ explain and I have no doubt that he would love the opportunity as well.
