My father was BORN on/about 7 March 1931. We believe the actual adoption took place sometime in early April 1931 and that he was born somewhere within a few hours driving distance of Shreveport, Louisiana. Likely an "off-books" adoption, my dad only became aware of his adoption in his 50s. He passed in 2010 and my sister and I are trying to find information on his parentage/family before all info is lost to history. My sister and I have both completed DNA testing and that info is here, on Ancestry, 23andMe, and GEDMatch.
