I want to find my birth mother. My birth mother gave me a little blue teddy bear when I was born that my adoptive parents gave to me. She was a teenage mother from a troubled home and she and her siblings had been placed in foster care. I believe she was 15 or 16 when she had me, the adoption was through Smithlawn agency in Lubbock, Texas, a Christian adoption home for mothers. I was the result of a one night stand situation per the records and my birth father did not know of my existence. I have been curious about her since I turned 18 and was able to get the brief history of her and her life when she was pregnant with me, and over the years I have searched the internet with what I have in attempts to find her, but to no avail. I have a son of my own now, which has motivated me more to find my birth mother and/or birth family.
