My name is Rose Marie Mortimer Huddleston Nelson Cleveland. I was born on May 10, 1980 in Goshen, Indiana to Robert Mathew Mortimer and Nonalee Utoka Hippenhammer. I have my birth certificate and that is all I have . I have been searching for my father since I was 18 years old. As you can tell I am now in my 30’s and still looking for him. With the help of several people I was able to find my mother. But because she does not want my father to know where she is I can not say what state I found her in. My parents and I moved to Texas when I was little. My father was a mechanic for a truck stop. He WAS NOT a truck driver like he told the people that He placed me with. My mother had seen him taking tools from the company and selling them for extra cash. So before the manager and her could return my father took off with me and that was the last time my mother saw me till in 2004. The guardians that my father placed me with were in their late 60’s to early 70’s. The truck stop where my father met Mrs. Huddleston was called the 76 truck stop in Houston, Texas. My fahter told her that he did not have any money to buy milk for my bottle. I was just 8 months old when he walked away with me. Now he gave me to someone that he just met. I was in shock when at the age of 12 my guardian (whom I will call mom #2 from now on) told me about the way my father just handed me over. He had a letter drawn up when I was around 3 and it stated that no one not even the cops could take me out of my mom #2’s care. Now that they mom and dad #2 have since passed on I am trying to piecce the rest of my life together so to speak. My birth mother Nonalee passed away Sept. 10, 2010 with cancer so I am not able to get information from her. I have asked my birth family but none of them know anything. I found a second cousin on my father’s side in California and she does not know any information on my father. The last known location as to where my father was is Fort Worth, Texas back in 1984. I contacted the police department and spoke with a detective and there was never anyone by that name arrested for anything. He WAS NOT born in Little Rock, Arkansas as my birth certificate says he was born in San Francisco, California. I am still trying to locate him so that he knows he has a daughter and two grand-kids that would like to meet him. Anyone that can help please let me know.
