Adopted in San Antonio, July 17 1967, I am mixed race and according to DNA testing my mother was white and my father was African-American. It did not go through a formal agency, merely a private attorney. I was taken home from the hospital by my adoptive parents Annie R. Francis & Theodore Francis. My adoptive parents are shown on my birth certificate. I have since come to learn that my mother’s last name may have been Walsh.
