I am the research genealogist for the estate of my friend, Sandy Boyer, who was the half-brother of Richard Huff Hodges (born Richard O. Boyer, Jr.) Sandy Boyer died in New York City in 2016 and left his estate to his partner. Richard Hodges died April 11, 1996 in Dallas, TX. For estate settlement purposes, it must be ascertained whether or not Richard Huff Hodges was officially adopted by his stepfather in 1940 or only unofficially. I am doing the research on behalf of the estate attorney.
