My mother was adopted at 3 days old from the Dallas/Ft Worth area. We now know her birth father was Clyde Sanders of Anson (Abilene) TX. Our family suspects her mother was living in West Texas (possibly Mitchell County) at the time she became pregnant. They were not married and she was sent to an unwed mother’s home. My (adopted) grandmother probably knew either the young woman and/or her relatives and that is why my grandmother traveled to Dallas to adopt my mother. My adopted grandparents were Will C & Lucy Berry of Colorado City‚ TX (Mitchell County). They were amazing grandparents. My mother always wanted to know who her biological parents were and through dna testing‚ it has recently been revealed Clyde was her biological father. It would be a wonderful thing to know who her mother was‚ only for sentimental reasons. Thank you. Berry Hawkins
