I am searching for adoption records and original birth record for my mother‚ dead nearly 20 years. She was born Ruth Evelyn Brandt on August 4‚ 1929‚ in Harris County‚ TX. She was born to a woman‚ Willie Lee Fuller‚ who died in Harris county in 2000. She was adopted through the Boles Children’s Home in Quinlan‚ Texas by Roy and Lorraine Cogdill. Willie‚ nicknamed Billie‚ took the secrets of her parentage to her grave. We were told that a Gail Brandt was Mom’s birth father until a few years before Billie died‚ when she admitted he wasn’t. Through Billie’s lineage‚ I have geneology back to the 1400s in England. Having the adoption and original birth records will help my search. Thanks to anyone who can help.
