All we know is that Sterling Tucker Williams (unsure of birth name, if any was given) was "adopted" by Samuel and Addie Williams (unsure what year, assuming soon after birth) and lived in Arkansas on 1910 Census, lived in Pyburn/Teague, Freestone County, Texas on 1920 Census (without Sterling listed, so 1921 birthdate makes sense) and moved back to Arkansas per 1930 Census (with Sterling listed 8yrs old). Addie’s sister, Sarah Ann "Sallie" Bradbury McNew, lived in Pyburn/Teague, TX area and practiced as a midwife during the 1920’s while Sam and Addie lived there. Most likely, a baby (Sterling) became available and Sam and Addie "adopted" the baby as their own. ??? Sterling used DOB of 6/11/1921 and Teague, TX as city of birth. Sterling lived in Arkansas for the remainder of his life and married Frances Mae Strickland and had 3 sons (Sterling Tucker "Tuck" Jr., Matthew Lewis, and Rodney Harold). Any information on his birth and/or "adoption" is greatly appreciated. I am married to Sterling’s son (Rodney) and am hoping to solve mystery for family. Thank you! Sterling Tucker "Bo" Williams died on 10/10/2001 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. -Romy Williams
