I was born to Mary Jo Chambers in Lufkin‚ TX‚ at Woodland Heights Hospital‚ on March 31‚ 1959‚ delivered by Dr. McVicker‚ MD. The adoption was apparently pre-arranged because my adoptive parents‚ Clarence Ray Smith and Jessie Walker Smith‚ received me when I was 4 days old. Their pastor‚ Rev. Freeze from Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Lufkin‚ Texas‚ interviewed them and approved them as fit parents for the adoption. The case file# is 10185‚ but it is a sealed file. I went before the Judge 18years ago‚ and he would not open the file‚ then again in June 2026. The file lists Mary Jo Chambers as my mother‚ but no father is listed. I have been having several health issues and am seeking answers to my family history.
