My name is Elaina Marie Winsor, the baby’s father is Patrick Neal Cowan. At the time of the birth I was living with Dan and Betty Cowan in Houston close to Memorial City Hospital. I went through an agency in Houston but don’t know the name. I don’t know the hospital either, it may have been one close by or not. I know I gave birth on a Thursday, either Oct 12 or the 18th in 1979. I believe that my baby was adopted very soon after. I was told that the adopting father was out of town on business when I gave birth. The door to my room was open and when I got out of bed to go to the bathroom I saw a a nicely dressed man in the hall watching me, I have always believed he was either the father to be or a lawyer who came to observe me.
