My name was Kelly Arlene Franklin, born in Jewish Memorial Hospital Manhattan New York 1968 and I was a student at Aubrey Middle School in Aubrey Texas when I was raped and in February of 1983 I had a beautiful baby girl. So Im looking for my daughter born in February 1983 in Flow Memorial Hospital in Denton Texas delivered by Emergncy C section by Dr White and Dr Rampoldi. This was to be an open adoption and I was told to write a letter and give pictures the family but I never received any in return nor did I ever hear from the family. I was told that they had never had children and that their parents had cancer and that he was a Pastor married with no children and they had a parent or dying grandparent that the inheritance was gonna pay for the adoption as they were a personal friend of the head of Luthern services/ Catholic Charities in Fort Worth Texas. All of which was told to me when I was 14 so I don’t have any physical information or know if it is fact or not. I did stay in the hospital for a few weeks after having the emergency C section . I have tried to gain access to records to get an exact day of her birth from the hospital that is no longer there but from Denton Medical Center that I was told would or could have records. I did get lots of Valentine Stuff animals so I am wanting to say it was around Valentines but not ruling out any dates until I can know for sure. I have spoke to an attorney Ronnie Philips of Denton Texas that handled the adoption and remember that my dad was his client and handled my adoption but he said he only kept the information for 10 years and sent originals to him but he died and I didn’t get any information.They told me the hospital records may have been purged years ago bc they keep them for 10 years so I am trying to gain access in every way possible. its now 2019, I turned 50 this year and have lots of Medical issues I need to share. I never had an opportunity to raise my own children her sister was kidnapped at 3 months and I found her when she was 19 so she has a sister that is living. My father Daniel E Franklin from New York New York passed away in 2005 from a massive heart attack and he never gave me any information growing up but he did give me a picture he had taken of her in the incubator. His immediate family is all deceased I never knew my grandfather and am in contact with cousins. My mother Linda fay Parks Franklin of Barksdale TX, Lived in Aubrey and Little Elm as did my father in case anyone wanted to contact me but I have yet to find her either. Mom, suffers from cancer and has not been able to give me any information but thru the years did not want to talk about it either., I am saddened I never had an opportunity to have and raise my own chil/ren but happy I gave her an opportunity to thrive and have a family knowing I was 14 and wanted to keep her but my parents said it was a child who carried a baby doll having a real child and I could not do it and they didn’t want the family to adopt her and me be her mother in question. I would love to meet her and see her again as long as my health allows I will never stop looking.
