I don’t know if I was officially adopted or just given over by an orphanage on a Native American reservation. My step-mother’s name was placed on a sheet of paper from the orphanage instead of my birth mother’s I was a little over 1 year of age, closer to 2 yrs old I do not know my birth mother’s name, just that I had a baby brother (new born). My step-mother’s name is Dorothy Crowder McGee, father’s name was Johnnie McGee Jr. The paper my step-mother had a Dr.Cox and others I don’t remember on it. My birth certificate shows I was born in Jefferson Davis Hospital, Houston, Texas. I was taken twice to Louisiana by the time I was 3yrs old to visit a family there. My half-siblings are Johnnie, Linda, and Bardett. I was visited by some officials, my step-mother would not let in the house when I was 5yrs oldthey said they had to see my physically to determine if I was being taken care of. They could only view me through the screen door as I was standing about 12 ft. away from themI never saw them againparents kept moving. I hope something here is helpful.
