I am helping a friend search for her birth parents. She was born at Baptist Memorial in Dallas on 5/2/1949 and the adoption was private but through Hope Cottage which burned down later. She was adopted by a well to do family in San Antonio Texas. She is short, blonde hair, blue or blue green eyes. She has two sons and grandkids too. She has a very specific birthmark in her hair that family members might remember if they saw her after she was born. Very nice lady who has been a teacher at a private school before retiring. Her adopted parents were very closed mouth about her adoption and never gave her the same information when she asked. Their last name was Guthrie. The only thing they said on several occasions was the mother was from California and her family was in computers. The adopted family was also in computers (Hewlett Packard). The birth certificate was signed Jean Barry but there was a B that was crossed out and followed by the name Jean instead. She grew up attending private schools in San Antonio, Tx until she married and moved to Austin where she lives now. If any of this information sounds familiar or is a possibility, please contact me.
