Shortly after being born my biological mother followed and stayed with people my parents knew during her postpartum recovery. But left a month later to Denver‚ Colorado. She kept in touch once a year on my birthday and on my 4th birthday she told my parents about another pregnancy she didn’t want. It was a boy this time. My parents didn’t have the means to take him in. And she stopped all contact after.
