Birth was in Dallas Texas on April 5, 1969. An attorney handled the selection. We were both in college in Colorado. He was catholic and I was not. My parent refused our getting married. My name was Janice Lynne Taylor and his was Roland Patrick Tompkins. He had asthma. No other health concerns. I was allowed to see him for 5 minutes and he was taken away by a nurse. 6 weeks later with the support of my older brother, I was told it was final and I had no recourse. Today is his 49th birthday. He has a half brother and sister who are eager to meet. His father lives in Denver, Colorado and has never wanted contact.
