My mother was Mary Kathleen Hughes (Mansur) she went by Kathy. She was born in Ardmore Oklahoma August 15, 1951 and died in Oklahoma City Oklahoma May 6, 2006. She said she had given birth to a daughter when she was an unwed teenager in the late 60s and gave her up for adoption as she had no means to support them. She once stated the father’s last name might have been Apple and they were in Dallas Texas when she conceived but she also said she was violated at a party in Oklahoma City where she was living and her family hushed it up and forced her to give the baby up. Her daughter was born in 1968 and I think it was May 5, 1968 from what I could piece together from mother’s tearful account. I want to make this information available for my older sister incase she knows she is adopted and is looking. I understand adopted people often want to know their own medical history and reasons why they were adopted. I want to meet my sister and know what she is like. She should know that her mother loved her very much and did not want to give her up.
