I am searching for my first cousin. I don’t have much information about him. I know he was given up for adoption by mother’s younger sister before I was born in June of 1965. It is my understanding from my mother, father, and uncle (brother to my mother and aunt, who’s the birth mother) that they all implored my aunt not to give him up, but rather let my parents or my uncle and his wife adopt her baby boy. My uncle told me he went to the convent in Texas to get her after his birth and begged her not to leave him. However, she was young unmarried and from a very small town feeling a lot of social pressures at the time. She’s never spoken of him to me. I don’t know if she’d be ok with my searching, but I would love to find him and let him know he wasn’t forgotten and there was and still is family who want to know him. His birth mother’s maiden name is McDonald. She was from the town of Greensburg, LA in St Helena Parish. He was most likely born in 1963 or 1964. Anyone who feels they may have information, please message me. I would love to find my lost cousin before we’re all too old and gone.
