Our son, Scottie was adopted at the age of 5 days old by my wife, Sandra L Laird, and me. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 26, 1965, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital and we adopted him through the Texas Cradle Society in San Antonio. When Scottie turned 18 we went back to San Antonio and were able to acquire several of the adoption documents from the court. We learned the name of Scottie’s biological mother but did not learn where she was from. We also learned the name of his biological father but never learned where he was from, either. The biological family names are Ellis and Hall, but DNA results are showing this may not be totally correct.
