I was born at St David’s Hospital in Austin Texas. My family has hidden the fact that I’m adopted from me my entire life‚ and still has not admitted it‚ but I’ve recently found photos of the day I was born that all but prove it. In those photos‚ there is a faceless woman who I can only assume is my mother‚ and on her wrist is a hospital bracelet that says “Symme”. The rest of the bracelet is cut off from view. The room had rose wall paper‚ my adoptive parents were older at the time of my adoption‚ and there are several strangers in the photos that are clearly not hospital staff‚ and that I’m assuming are family members.
