Hi, I am a birth mother, looking to find my birth son if he is interested in meeting me. The adoption was handled through Dallas or Fort Worth Catholic Chairities. The birth took place at the Sheppard Air Force Base Hospital, and I lived in Wichita Falls at the time of birth. I believe the adoptive parents lived in Fort Worth and the adoptive father may have been an attorney. I do not want to disrupt my birth sons life, and I thank God for the adoptive family. But, if he wants to meet me, I would be overjoyed. If he just wants to correspond via email to ask questions about his biological family, and for medical reasons, that’s fine, too. My prayer is my biological child had a happy, well rounded childhood and knows adoption was in his best interest. Not a day has ever gone by that I have not thought of the child I gave up. The birth was actually Feb. 13, 1976, but I have been told by many, that it was common practice back then to change the actual date of birth, to make it difficult to find a child given up for adoption. So, I feel like the DOB could have easily been changed back as far as Dec. 1975, without question, since the baby was born at healthy weight. Or the date may have been pushed forward, perhaps into As late as April. Thanks for reading. Good luck.
