I gave birth to my son on Dec. 16 th in 1964. at the Edna Gladney Home in Ft.Worth‚ Texas. My name was Sandra (Sandi) Elaine Wall at the time. They gave me a fake last name at the time‚ so‚ I was called Sandi Winfield. Or close. My son weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. His length between 19 & 20” I believe. I lived in the house on Berry Street at the time. I was 17 yrs old when I was brought there‚ but became 18 on October 28‚ 1964. I was told the couple took him that day. There were two Drs. for me. One induced on me & the other delivered him later. Dr. Pearce was one & maybe a Dr. Mayo was the other. & I’m not sure about the Dr. If I heard his name I’d remember. I was raised very protected & we were know by everyone in our small town of Cleburne‚ Texas. My mother would in no way allow me to keep him. My father never knew. Only a 3 knew & were my mother’s confidantes sworn to secrecy. Afterwards‚ I returned back to boarding school. The father of my baby wouldn’t marry me because I was Jewish. They were Church of Christ in Cleburne as well. His Name is Danny Floyd Pollock 2 yrs. older than me. My name is now Sandi Wall Ramsey living in Covington‚ Texas in the Country. His father lives in Grandview‚ Texas. I have 3 other children‚ he has 2 other children. I feel my son deserves to know his history & medical background if he chooses. I’d love to meet him. A Miss or Mrs. Gelhausen or Gilhausen was a social worker there. If mentio I’d remember house mother name. I have 2 daughters & another son. His father has a daughter & another son. I have 4 grandchildren. Not sure how many his birth father has.
