ScottWaldrop
Hi Ivy. It's your dad‚ Scott Waldrop. WOW! You turn 18 in about 26 minutes. I can't believe how fast the last 13 years have gone by. It seems like our final visit was just a couple of years ago‚ because moments like that leave an impression that never goes away. Please know that I'm so proud of you‚ because even though I've gotten no updates on anything about your life and knowing nothing of what you've done I still know you're an amazing young woman because you were an amazing little girl . I can't wait to meet the grown up you. And while I don't expect a knock on my front door tomorrow I have no doubt that you'll look for me one day‚ because our connection is unbreakable. I can assure you with no equivocation that I have thought about you every single day for the last 13 years‚ and I still miss you just as much today (if not more) as I did the first day you were taken away from your mother and I. The most sincere hope of my entire life is that you'll give me the opportunity to apologize and maybe explain some things that led to your adoption and answer any questions you may have. Your mother and I are still married and still living in DFW. We didn't have any more children after you and your sister. Your brother‚ Ethan Zachary Waldrop‚ is 32 now and is an EMT living in Greensboro‚ NC and your sister‚ Skylar Rose Tobey (Foley) is 25 and is married and lives in Dallas. She received her Master's degree in Social Work last year from Texas Tech University. Both of your maternal grandparents‚ Bill (Papa) and Phyllis (Grandma) Foley have passed away‚ Bill around the same time you were adopted and Phyllis in September 2024. Your Uncle Pat Foley and his wife‚ Aunt Kerry‚ live in Katy and your cousins Quin‚ Zoey and Alyssa are all but grown now. We're not in contact with your Aunt Megan and her wife Becca‚ but I do know that they have recently moved to the Pacific Northwest somewhere. And my sister‚ your Aunt Tammie Manchester and her husband Ron live in The Woodlands‚ TX. Tammie just completed her Master's degree in Social Work specializing in family development and plans to use it to try and highlight some areas for improvement within DSHS and CPS‚ inspired primarily from irregularities and inconsistencies in our case and the events surrounding your removal and adoption. Your cousins‚ Audrey and Chloe both announced recently that they are getting married soon‚ Chloe on February 13th‚ 2026 and Audrey some time in April 2026. Your paternal grandparents‚ Dave (Da) and Patricia (Nana) Waldrop are both still alive and still live in the same house in Hurst‚ TX that they've lived in for the last 47 years. I've done a few different things for a living over the last 13 years‚ most notably as a musician‚ playing music all over the world (retired from that) and as a dog trainer. I taught myself some useful skills after I stopped travelling and now I make my living as a contractor doing home improvement and remodels. Your mother has her own successful business buying storage units that have gone to auction and reselling items in our ebay store‚ and she actually makes a bit more money than I do. She's very good at what she does and I'm so proud of her. So that's the short-ish version of how we are and what were up to. If you've found this message and decide that getting in touch isn't something you'd like to pursue right now please know that I respect that‚ but also know that there won't be any days after this that I won't be thinking of you and hoping that we'll get to meet again. All my Love to All of You from All of Me
