I am searching for my birth parents or siblings. I was born in Kingsville, TX on October 8, 1958 and adopted by Robert and Sina Carter. My father was a train conductor in Kingsville and my mother worked at a cafe close to the train yard and it’s possible my birth mother worked at the cafe also. My adoption records list my name as Sheila Marie Williams and I grew up Sheila Marie Carter, but they did not list my birth parents names. I eventually discovered my birth name was Dottie Virginia Williams. I lived in Kingsville until I was about 7 then moved to Houston. Both my adoptive parents are deceased and my family refused to share any information regarding my adoption. I know my birth mother was 17 and of Native Anerican decent. I know she had some contact with my adoptive mother so I’m not sure if there’s been some miscommunication or just loss of contact but I would really like to know where I came from. I lost both my parents at a young age, my father at 9 and my mother at 19. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have 4 wonderful children and 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
