I am looking for my uncle. My Grandfather doesn’t like talking about it, but he had a son with a woman before he married my Grandmother. I think it might have been more of my grandmother that didn’t want it discussed openly. My father is the the oldest of their kids and remembers a knock at the door one day. It was a woman, a man, and a boy that was around five years older than him. My grandfather told my father and his siblings to go upstairs, but they eavesdropped from the top of the stairs. The man was asking my grandfather to sign adoption papers so that he could legally be the boy’s father. My family is extremely close. It haunts me to know that there could be a man out there that could be so much like my own father and his sisters (my aunts). I could have cousins and those cousins could have babies. My grandfather is still healthy but he is also getting older. My grandmother unfortunately passed about 5 years ago. I thought I would try to find my uncle before we lost my grandfather, too. I don’t have a lot of information, but I at least want to try.
