Our son was 6 days old when he came to us. We lived in Memphis, TN, he was delivered at St Joseph’s Hospital by Dr. Ijams. We believe his mother was about 15, and possibly from West Memphis. Her parents were supportive, but it was best for all concerned that the baby be placed for adoption. Robert Green was the attorney who handled the adoption. We always told our sons (we had previously adopted a son in March 1965) that they were special, chosen, and God given to us. We always told them we would assist in finding birth family if and when they chose. I know it would help my son very much if he could make contact with that family. Please respond if you have information.
