My sister gave up a baby girl that was born on January 8 1978. She was 15 years old at the time of birth and we have been searching for at least 40 years. My sister went to a home for unwed mothers in Memphis Tn. Called Bethany Home She delivered at Baptist Medical Center in Memphis Tennessee and gave up the baby for adoption. My sister’s name at that time was Penny Lyn Gibson . She named her daughter Kimberly Kay Gibson which I am sure was changed. I am her aunt and am helping my sister continue to search for her. I am a retired Ob nurse of 32 years and know from my work how there is an emptiness in a child’s life that can’t be filled until they know where they came from. I want her to know she comes from a family with lots of aunts and uncles that love her. My mom and dad have passed and were great parents.
