My father was adopted by Gail Phillips and Doug Phillips, his spouses are Leanna Jorgenson and Carla M. Upchurch. My father was always a troubled child with multiple arrest charges and drug addictions very rarely in the picture and I know very little about himself in general. My grandmother always likes to talk about him but never really brings up the adoption (mostly because there is little to no information about it) it was a closed adoption and no one ever really brought it up. As I grow older and get further in my college education it bothers me that I don’t know anything about half of my heretige. I really want to see if any of that side of my family is still alive and want to stay in contact and find out about more of my family history.
