I’m trying to find my bio grandmother. My mom‚ Anne Walker Bridges‚ was adopted at 2 days old in Memphis‚ TN and I’m quite certain she was born at The Bethany Training Home. I have been able to find her bio father‚ Clarence Elmer Baker Jr‚ but unfortunately he died in 2014. I have been in touch with his daughter/my mom’s half sister and after asking around her family we are pretty certain that Clarence didn’t know my mom existed and no one knows who her birth mother was. Anne was adopted by Frank Gordon Bridges III and Patricia Carter Bridges. The birth certificate was changed to show Anne being born in Pine Bluff‚ AR. I’ve been told that either her uncle Lunsford Williamson Bridges or great uncle John Walker Bridges was the doctor that delivered her and that her grandfather Frank Gordon Bridges Jr was the attorney that did the paperwork. My sister tried getting the adoption records from TN vital records but was told they didn’t have any for Anne. I have done a dna test through Ancestry.com but so far all my matches on my mom’s side have been through her paternal side. Any information you can find I will be so grateful to learn!
