My grandfather Frank Albert Edward Joey Vimpany to my knowledge was recorded as being born in launceston tasmania 1932 no date or month recorded. He was adopted as a baby by Francis Vimpany 11/06/1910 and Kate Amelia Vimpany nee Bishop. 05/07/1910 both of launceston tasmania. This was quite a taboo subject growing up and was basically off limits. I’m slowly piecing a family tree together buy the adoption of Frank forms the unknown missing link to who I am and where I actually come from.
