Hi there lovely people‚ I’m helping my adopted sister to try and find out who her biological father was as it’s not recorded on the birth certificate. One of the interesting things we have learned is that our mother apparently lived in Cressy TAS at the time of the birth. I can’t imagine this to be correct but it’s stated in the adoption order which wasn’t filled out in our Mum’s writing‚ only the signature. Does anyone who if there was an unmarried mother’s place in Cressy in 1952? My mother never mentioned Cressy‚ the adoption and is now passed. There are no living relatives to ask. Fingers crossed someone can help in finding out why Mum was in Cressy in July 1952.
