I am searching for my fathers half sister. I believe her name at birth was possibly Gillian and I understand she was born in 1946 or more likely‚ 1947. My dad (Barry Richard Kennett) remembers being introduced to her when he was aged 5‚ in 1947. Again‚ I understand that she was adopted by a Doctor(s) from Mitcham in Surrey. ’Gillian’ was born to a single mother (Freda‚ known as ’Olive’) from Croydon. My dad (born 5 years earlier) also does not know who his father was he was brought up by Freda’s parents in Croydon‚ for many years believing her to be his ’sister’. My dad is now almost 83 and has always felt like a part of him was missing‚ particularly as he was aware of his half sisters existence‚ and has often talked about her.
