My parents (Iowa) adopted my sister from Korea in 1971 from Holt adoption agency. She was born on 1/21/1971 and came to the US in Oct 1971. They were barely given any information about her‚ or her birth parents. My parents were told she was left somewhere and abandoned. Unfortunately‚ my sister ended up getting leukemia‚ and because we could not find her a bone marrow match‚ due to my family always believing that there were no records‚ or even a known birth name....she sadly passed away in 1992. With the recent news regarding the Korean adoptees from Holt agency in the 1970s‚ I cannot and will not rest‚ until I know where my sister came from. My family and I need to know if she had or has family somewhere in Korea‚ if so‚ I want desperately to find them and to let them know where their baby girl went‚ and the amazing person she grew up to be while she was alive.
