My uncle fathered a child while serving in the US Army in South Korea‚ sometime between 1979 and 1983. He was a military policeman. I believe that my cousin would be of mixed heritage‚ white and Korean. I don’t know the gender or name of the child‚ or if they were adopted or raised solely by their mother. My father knew the name of the child’s mother‚ but he died before sharing that information. My cousin’s mother came to the United States (Wilmington‚ Delaware) before my cousin was born to try to get my uncle to be a father for his child. Because of this‚ I am uncertain if my cousin was born in the United States‚ or if their mother returned to Korea and gave birth there. My uncle has shown no interest in connecting with any children he fathered while in the military‚ however‚ this child has two siblings‚ a sister born in 1984 and a brother born in 1993. The sister would cherish the opportunity to connect with her lost sibling. We would love to share health history and bring our family together.
