I was recently contacted by a half-sister (ancestry). I am trying to gather information as to how and why she was adopted at about 3 years old. We share the same father and my bio sisters and I never knew of her. Reportedly she and her sister (not DNA matched with us) were adopted 12/04/1956 in South Dakota, possibly from a Catholic agency in Fort Pierre. She is not sure of her exact birthday and celebrates her adoption day as her birthday as does her sister. I would like to know if she was born in Texas, where we have always lived, and who her mother is/was.
