I am a Historian and Genealogist. I have been asked to help a friend find her birth mother and sibling. Her adopted name is Savannah Inglesby. She was born at Roper Hospital‚ an old Catholic Hospital in Charleston‚ SC. The adoptive parents met with the mother before she gave birth. It was a planned adoption. The mother’s name is Pamela Snyder. She had an older daughter‚ possibly around five years old. Pamela was planning on going back to school. The father was in the Navy. They weren’t married at the time. Savannah has never seen any paperwork. Most information has come from a cousin. She was told the birth mother did show up at their home wanting to take the baby back. It is a closed adoption. The parents were assured that she would not be able to reverse the adoption decision.
