I was norm on June 6 1978 and adopted thru catholic Charities. I am looking for anyone in my birth family. I was born in Fort Jackson Columbia SC. My birthmother left home at a young age and was married young as well. She was 21 yrs old at time of adoption i believe birthfather was 26 birthmother may have had a history of mental illness she had 3 children before she had me then a boy after me then her and her husband divorced. Birthfather was not her husband husband was away and when he found out made her give me up for adoption birthfather was a butcher of Irish descent. Birthmother was methodist. Mother kept me in hospital with her for a few days then i went to foster care until i was adopted at 4 wks old. Adopted mother was a pharmacist adopted father was an enhineer. Am looking to reunite if possible or get more history. I have more information like ammended birth certificate number ss well as adoption decree with specific names and dates. It was a closed adoption so i dont know birthmothers name and am only going on info told to me by adopted mother that was told to her by caseworker.
