I am told that I was born in Beaufort, SC and my birth certificate (a certified copy issued to my adoptive parents) lists Burton, SC as the county of birth. I’m beloved to have been born at home and taken to a nearby military hospital. I was in foster care for my first 8 weeks and then placed with my adoptive parents on 12/12/1977 but I believe the adoption was finalized in December of 1978.
