My name is Haley Shaw I am the granddaughter of Martha Ann Shaw formerly known as Martha Ann Maner / Martha Ann Harrelson. My grandmother gave birth to seven living children throughout her lifetime April 30th 1933 to July 10th 2007. The majority of the time in her life that I am unable to track is in the South Carolina Charleston area. My grandmother used the first names Marty Martha Ann and Martha and the last names Maner (maiden name) Harrleson, possibly Bennett and then Shaw. My father is the youngest of seven he was born January 1967. He is my grandfather’s only child. My grandmother and grandfather met approximately January / February of 1966 it was at that time where they returned to the orphanage where my grandmother had dropped off four of her six children at the time to be adopted, they ranged in ages from newborn to 10 years of age in 1966. The additional two children my uncle cap and my uncle Donnie were living with their father side of the family so she was able to get them back from those family members. I was told by my grandmother sister that the girl that was adopted is a full blood relative of my Uncle Jim Bennett the girl may have Bennett on her birth certificate. So I have an aunt and two uncle I have never met that were born in South Carolina probably the Charleston or surrounding areas. I found out this information in 2007 and I’ve been doing what research I could on my own and I’ve run into countless dead ends. I have done a DNA test but my DNA only goes so far seeing as these would be biologically half aunts and half uncles.
