I am searching on behalf of my deceased Mother. It has come to light since her death that she was possibly adopted - she was unaware of such a fact. The man she believed to be her father was named Clement William Poole (1905 - 1978). There is anecdotal support for her being adopted from a convent around aged 4, but we cannot be sure.
