Hi my mum was born on the 18 January 1941 apparantly to a Helen MacAdamson. Helen was from St Boswells where she worked in a hotel and met a man from Jordan. He was studying there. My mum sheila was born in Simpson's maternity section of the royal infirmary in Edinburgh‚ Helen apparently went back to St Boswells. Sheila was given to a home in North Fort street leith where she stayed for 11 weeks. The nuns took the children from there to the villagers as it was war time. My nanna and grandad Michael and Davidina Rodgers adopted her on the 17th of September 1941.
