These questions are answered to the best of my ability. I am trying to trace my family history and know my grandfather (Alfred Wilkie - Born: 01/12/1912 in St Giles area of Edinburgh) was adpoted. I do not know who the adoptive parents were and I only know his birth mothers name (Mary Wilkie) but cant find any information about her except that she is listed as being a "Domestic Servant" on my grandfathers birth entry. I have assumed that she gave him up at birth. Any info on both would be gratefully received.
