Tracing my granny - Margaret McMillan‚ her mother was Catherine McMillan. Can’t find birth certificate in Scotland for either and dna shows 80%Irish through paternal side. Not sure she was adopted as she died in 2006 but did mention a very difficult childhood and in care was mentioned.
